Christmas Gifts for Baby
Here are the Top
10 Christmas Gifts for Baby in 2011:
''This is a soft and cuddly toy and
small enough to sit on your baby's lap. Good for the carseat. My son is
only 3 months so he needs a little one on one time with me and the
octopus. But that also makes it wonderful, spending quality time with
him. My 28 month also likes to play with it too. The textures and
crinkly tentacles are great! The starfish helps with motor skills, you
have to twist it and it clicks. I
would recommend this!''

''We
purchased this bear because it is organic and well made and it fast
became our toddler's favorite stuffed animal. The bear is very soft and
pillowy (all cotton inside). Among the stuffed animals in her crib she
grabs this one before the others and buries her face in it's tummy and
chews on its ears and rolls around the crib never letting go. And
although the care instructions recommend surface cleaning, I have put
it in the washing machine a handful of times and it still looks as good
as new (wash cold on gentle cycle & short fluff in dryer
& then finish with air dry). We bought a second one to fill in
while the other is being washed. Also, it's packaged very cute and
would make a great baby
gift.''

''I purchased these balls when my son was about 5-6 months old, to give another developmental toy for him to play with. He loves rolling them around and crawling after them, rolling or throwing them to me, and putting them in boxes. They are easy for him to hold, and I like the different colors, sizes, and textures. He also really loves it when I roll it over his head and down his back, it tickles and he makes this really cute face. I feel that these are versatile toys that will bring learning and enjoyment for a long time!''

''I bought
this for my Daughter's 1st birthday. It is by far her favorite gift.
She loves the wave drum and xylophone the best but play with everything
except the roller one. This is the first toy she goes to every morning.
Very Happy with this purchase .''
''I got this for my son's first birthday. He loves it and so does his 2 year old sister! The xylophone is the biggest hit out of the set but each item gets some attention. My son will carry the xylophone around with him and hit it while he walks. It is light enough and has a handle that makes this possible. Best purchase I've made on toys this year!''

''We bought this for my daughter
when she was about nine
months old. In the beginning, she was mainly interested in spinning the
animal alphabet tiles, but as she grows she keeps discovering more and
more things to play with. Right now, she really likes the animal pegs
on one of the sides that's not pictured--hard to describe, but they're
kind of like Plinko. She also loves opening and closing the doors on
another side, and she's just starting to spend time playing with the
bead maze and the animals on top. I can see this toy holding her
interest for several months.
I like that this toy is made of wood and is very sturdy. She hasn't had any difficulty pulling herself up on it (though she is a bit of string bean, so this may change as she gets bigger), and the rounded corners are safer than sharp edges. It's also very bright and colorful, and the animal alphabet is pretty creative. (For example, N = narwhal.) Compared to identical activity cubes (same toy, different color scheme) that cost significantly more, I think this toy is a great value.''

#4: Hohner 5 Piece Toddler Music Band
''I bought
this for my Daughter's 1st birthday. It is by far her favorite gift.

except the roller one. This is the first toy she goes to every morning.

#5: Zany Zoo Wooden Activity Cube
''We bought this for my daughter
when she was about nine
months old. In the beginning, she was mainly interested in spinning the
animal alphabet tiles, but as she grows she keeps discovering more and
more things to play with. Right now, she really likes the animal pegs

Compared to identical activity cubes (same toy, different color scheme) that cost significantly more, I think this toy is a great value.''
#6: Sassy Busy Bugs on Board Car Seat and Stroller Toy
''I cannot possibly love these
things any more than I do! They have saved my sanity on many occasions!
I have them clipped onto the handle of my (almost) 4-month-old
daughter's car seat and she never takes her eyes off them for a second.
Even at the pet store, there was a beautiful blue and gold macaw
talking very loudly two feet in front of her and she never took her
eyes off these things! When she's just a little bit bigger that she can
reach and touch them, she'll discover that the wings crinkle and the
bee has a squeaker in the middle. A
very good buy, I promise!''
#7: Infant Learning Pull and Learn Car Carrier
''Both our sons love this toy.
They both have sensory processing problems and problems with fine motor
control and the toy helps them with both. Our infant development
specialist recommended it and it was an instant hit. The 3 yo loves to
stack the cars on it and has fun imagining what the anilmal drivers are
doing. Our 17 month old plays with it, too. He loves to push all the
buttons and listen to the noises and sounds it makes. It is good for
developing fine motor control as they play with all the pieces. It's
also stimulating enough to keep their interest. Like I said, it was an
instant hit and after two months they both still play with it
frequently. It's durable, they haven't broken anything on it and our
boys are rough on their toys. I
highly recommend it!''
#8: Mini Roller Coaster
''This
fabulous toy has been teaching my 9 month old about eye tracking and
hand-eye coordination. She loves this toy and is captivated by the
moving parts. She slides the pieces around herself.''''I searched for the very best gift for my sister's first grandson, and this is what I picked. He loves it. She said he plays with it for at least an hour every day. He looks for it as soon as he gets up. He's 18 months old and this will stimulate his imagination. He can pretend it's whatever he wants. You'll see this in many doctors offices, and some kid is always playing with it. The last time we went to the dentist, 2 of my granchildren headed right for this (ages 10 & 12). ''

#9: Stacking Activity Set
''Of all the toys my grandchild
has, this stacking box toy is her favorite, and probably her least
expensive.''''My baby loves the blocks. They are soft and colorful. We stack the cups up and let her knock them down. Great fun for the price and this toy will grow with her.''

#10: Puppy Ride-On Play Critter
''I
love this ride-on toy. I had been looking around in target, toys r us
etc for a simple ride-on, but they all had really fancy expensive
things. This one is
great. Inexpensive, simple and very sturdy,
and my 18 month old loves scooting around on it on the deck. It's only
weakness is that it doesn't really steer, but she figured out pretty
quickly to just get off and move it when she runs into something. It
seems more or less unbreakable to me, and totally weatherproof. I definitely recommend it for
entertaining active toddlers.''
